About the company

LONO Innovations is an engineering and consulting company that supports its clients and partners to develop organic fertilizer and bioenergy projects in West-Africa. Our focus is Côte d’Ivoire, where our partner company LONO is based. Here, we provide consulting services, design and implement industrial biogas and composting facilities and we are looking for an intern to strengthen our team.

The position

We are looking for a candidate that is passionate about applying engineering solutions to modern challenges of food and energy in the developing world. The intern will contribute to specific elements of the consulting and industrial project development, taking your learning questions or thesis subject into account. It concerns a remote position, meaning you will work from a distance with possible visits to Côte d’Ivoire or other West Africa Countries

Profile

• Master student or recent graduate in Process or Environmental engineering
• Experience with bioprocesses using bacteria to convert organic waste
• Good knowledge of green chemistry and concepts of biorefining
• Passionate about applying engineering solutions to modern challenges of food and energy security
• Specific experience of anaerobic digestion would be a plus
• Specific experience of industrial composting would be a plus
• Knowledge of Black Soldier Fly production would be a plus
• Basic knowledge of French would be a plus
